Marco Darko has exploded onto the deep house scene the last few years. His ability to create vicious and infectious deep basslines have caught the ears of some big-time label heads lately. Being picked up by heavyweights such as Hot Creations, Sleazy Deep, and Kaluki Music this past year alone, Marc has shown time and time again that he is here to stay. With a unique deep house sound that sometimes crosses into a g-house realm, we had the chance to catch up with the budding star and ask a few questions about his influences, upcoming releases, and his dark library.

Mike Haynes AKA Mykel Haze is the new kid on the block but is definitely no stranger to the scene! He cut his teeth in the mid 90s on the Sasha and Digweed Northern Exposure mix compilations and worked his way through the various club nights and events that made the scene what it was back then. Mykel Haze is definitely know to Lee Foss and Jamie Jones' Hot Creations imprint, which can be found on the UK’s busiest club nights attracting artists like Dubfire, Ben Klock, Radio Slave, DJ Sneak, Paul Ritch, Guti, Tim Green and Clive Henry.

With over 20 years in the industry so far, Carlo's life into the world of production started way back in 2005 with his first release on New York label, Blunted Funk; under the Hoodlums; guise with fellow Leeds dj/producer Euan Mitchell. A remix then followed on Slovenian label 'Papstec', and then a full EP on Polish label 'Look Ahead'. After several other releases it wasn’t until 2010 that was the start of something special. Carlo got the break he needed signing a 3 track EP for the mighty ‘3am Recordings’.
Since that first signing for the label, Carlo has gone onto release several more tracks for 3am including the labels 50th anniversary release. Several strong releases have followed since the start of 2010, which have led to a rapid increase in demand for Carlo's original and remix work globally. So far into 2012/13, Carlo has gone onto release on labels such as Bullet:dodge, Freche Fruchte, Click Therapy, Svogue Muziq, Gooseneck Records, Area38, Evasive, Electronique and label of the moment,'Hot Waves'. This signing to Jamie Jones label is an even bigger step to push Carlo in the right direction.

As one of the UK’s most promising producers, with releases on Tsuba, VIVa Music, Kaluki, Music is Love, She Wolf and SKYLAX/A Fistful Of Wax and his own Roots For Bloom, 2013 is looking promising for Jamie. His musical journey began from a young age. With his father in the night club scene, Jamie would spend most of his child-hood hanging around night-clubs when they were closed listening to CD’s that his father had bought him back from the night before.
