UBERZONE Nitrus – TCR – Moonshine – Distinctive – Functional – AM Only - CA Uberzone is the brainchild of southern California native Q (named after the gizmo-loving James Bond character). Like his namesake, Uberzone is a die-hard collector of all things electronic and has been collecting electronic-music gear since his early teens. Spin Magazine named Uberzone as one of the six producers to create "the biggest beats ever” and he has also been featured in the electronic music documentary ‘Better Living Through Circuitry”. His early singles, "Botz" and "The Freaks", released on taste-maker indie dance label City of Angels, were critically acclaimed club tracks that established Q as one of the leading American producers of break-beat music. These singles were charted consistently by DJs like Florida's DJ Icey and the UK's Adam Freeland, among others. His remixes of Sarah McLachlan, The Crystal Method and BT also established him as one of the biggest names in the American dance scene. In 1999 he collaborated with Afrika Bambaataa "The Godfather of Hip-Hop" from Soul Sonic Force on the electro breaks driven anthem "2 Kool 4 Skool" and has also toured extensively with acts such as The Crystal Method. His debut album "Faith In The Future" was released on Astralwerks in 2001 and was followed up in 2002 by "The Digital Mix" on Moonshine and the "Uberzone Y4K" mix CD on Distinctive Breaks. Uberzone is currently on tour in support of his full-length “Ideology” album release on Nitrus/Equation Records which is in stores now. Tonight, he will be showcasing his digital mix which involves midi controllers, trigger fingers and small drum pads. His skills behind the decks have also led to headlining appearances across the US and in Europe and he has appeared on BBC Radio 1 London, KISS FM London, WKTU 103.5 FM New York and Sirius Satellite Radio. In addition, Wavewhore is a resident at the Sullivan Room, one of New York City’s premier underground venues, and he regularly hosts ‘The Audio Tactics Sessions’ on the Breakspoll award-winning BreaksFM internet station (www.breaksfm.com). Wavewhore has been called a “breakbeat master” by Liquid Todd (Sirius Satellite Radio) and “one of the USA’s finest breakbeat DJ/producers” by Jay Cunning (KISS FM London) while www.breakbeatonline.com described him as “NYC’s finest export since the Beastie Boys”. He began his career as a heavy metal guitarist performing in clubs while he was still in high school and his first electronic release dates back to 1992. His cutting edge music has received high level support from many of the top names in the business including Aquasky, General Midi, DJ Icey, The Autobots, The Freestylers, Elite Force, Drumattic Twins and many more. As a musician, he stands apart in his ability to produce a wide variety of styles within the breaks genre with quality results. His diversity in production also carries into his DJ sets which blend many styles of breaks from funk to bassline to tech into powerful and effective mixes that whip the dance floor into a frenzy. Wavewhore’s name is derived from his addiction to manipulating audio waveforms and from all appearances he promises to be an inspiring force in electronic dance music. They released three full-length albums between None Of The Above Records and Rawkus Entertainment, and performed aggressively throughout the 90's. By 2000, he reintroduced himself as DJ Butterface, working as an electronic composer and producer. His music can be heard in video games (Extreme G3, Acclaim Entertainment), local independent films and television shows (MTV Cribs, Room Raiders, CBS Sports), and his original compositions have been used for several New York City theatre productions. DJ Butterface worked extensively with NYC DJ collective/label Vinylholic, and was a resident DJ at B3, their flagship club in the East Village. His current performances include events throughout the New York City area, and regular bookings nationwide in Tucson, AZ; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Miami, FL, and Boston, MA. DJ Butterface's latest releases include remixes for Paranoid Social Club's Two Girls (Vinylholic), and Nadir's Slave (Bikiniwax). He appears on Martin Bisi's (Sonic Youth, Helmet, Foetus) new solo album Sirens of the Apocalypse (Black Freighter) and performs backing vocals, keyboards and turntables on Bisi's current tour. Butterface can be seen regularly performing on his webcam show for the Howard Stern offshoot station, SyndicateRadio.tv. She has held many residencies through out her career such as Rhythm Lounge with H20 Productions and Bootymachine in LA and has worked with Robtronik and Spundae/Godskitchen in putting together large-scale events where she has played along side talent including Hyper, Madame Mercury, DJ Whatt, Freq Nasty and Reid Speed. After graduating cum laude with her B.S. from USC, Betty moved to New York City for a new job and a change of pace. Thriving off of the growing breaks scene in NYC, she promotes the local breaks community through NYCBreakbeat.com and continues to play many events on the East and West Coasts. EVA DADEaBASS - RObnSteel - Kimchee Love – Los Angeles CA Eva’s east coast roots have helped her mould her taste in dark, dirty and raw breaks, which consistently inhabit her crate. With a little help from her friends, she’s been pulled (somewhat) out of the shadows and has found some salvation in the funk, without giving up her evil roots… or her undying dedication to the heavy bass. Her stylized selections have brought her to audiences around the nation including New York, Chicago, Florida, New Mexico, her hometown of Boston and all throughout California, including holding weekly residencies at The Room in Hollywood and The Little Rock in the SVF, as well as a monthly residency at Star Shoes Hollywood as one half of her other musical project, the electro duo Kimchee Love. Check her as she continues to play for sweaty crowds across the nation. MORGAN STONER Funky Communications - Wonder Breaks - NYC
