RED ROBIN Red Robin found his way into electronic music 10 years ago. However, Robin has had a long journey through various types of music; including 15 years of classical piano, 14 years of drums, African and Brazilian percussion, which prepared him for a fast integration into the Berlin-based electronic music scene. Robin has been the resident dj at Berlin’s number one afterhour-location Bar 25, since 2005. He also released his first record on cologne-based label Platzhirsch Schallplatten together with his buddy, Philipp Groth, under the name of “Pachulke and Sohn.” After this release, word spread quickly about his demanding dj-sets combining both his very own style of swing and dark deep sounds. Defining his style mostly through his unique mixing-technique, has allowed various types of electronic dance-music find their way into Red Robins dj-bag including minimal, straight techno, breaks and tomorrows sound today. MARKEY Markey got his first taste of non-commercial electronic music when he was about 16 years old. He was then living in Ghent, Belgium, where he started DJing. Soon his curiosity took him into maklng his own beats. After 8 years of Ghent, Markey found himself drawn to Berlin, where he started the project ''Robyns & Markey'', with his friend Yannick Robyns. So far he has released on labels like Colludo Records, Lift your head Up, Riot Riot Technique, and his most Recent EP on Tonkind Records: ''Dawn" , feating Mz Sunday Luv. In 2011 Markey played around Europe, Australia and New Zealand. 2012 so far has took him to Brasil, Mexico and back to Europe were he's working on some some new Robyns and Markey ep and a new solo release.
