One of the most in demand producers, DJs and remixers in the world, we are blessed to have the prolific Ewan Pearson come to NYC for a special DJ set.
What can be said that hasn’t already been said?
From We Love Space in Ibiza to Panoramabar to residencies at Robert Johnson and The Loft, his sets – like the rest of his career – defy easy categorisation, marrying the independent and the underground with a pop sensibility that’s all his own.
He’s got releases under his belt for Kompakt, Visionquest, Crosstown Rebels, Turbo, Gomma, !K7 and plenty others. His remixes for the likes of Depeche Mode, Chemical Brothers, Metronomy, Junior Boys, Hot Chip, and Supermayer are considered classics of the form and have been featured on way too many compilations to list. Oh, and his production credits include The Rapture’s ‘Pieces of the People We Love’, M83’s ‘Saturdays=Youth’, Delphic’s ‘Acolyte’, and of course, Tracey Thorn’s solo albums ‘Out Of The Woods’ and ‘Love And Its Opposite’. Plus with a degree from Cambridge and a masters in philosophy and cultural studies, he might be one of the most educated people in this game called “EDM”.

The production and DJ duo known as The Carry Nation have been turning the freaks out on the dancefloor for the past 14 years in NYC.
Not so long ago, there was a debaucherous club in Manhattan called Mr. Black where many of us nightlife creatures would end up late night. It was here in the thralls of excess we first heard of DJ Nita who would later pair up with the amazing producer Will Automatic as The Carry Nation.
Will spent much of the late 90s and early 2000’s working in music for fashion for the likes of Yves St. Laurent, Barbara Bui, Issey Miyake, Vivienne Westwood, Visionaire and Karl Lagerfeld.
Nita, having made a name for himself performing as a member of the House of Aviance in the 90s, landed behind the decks in the early 2000's and currently holds a residency at the award-winning WESTGAY. In his relatively short production history, he has already logged remixes for Beyonce, the Scissor Sisters, and Le1f.
Together, their recent guest DJ appearances include the Paris' Acid Ball and Horse Meat Disco parties in London and England’s Glastonbury Festival (where they plan to continue to appear), Club Berlin in Chicago, and Honey Sound System in San Francisco, as well as numerous guest appearances around NYC including DFA’s Crystal Ark Party Machine event and CatWalk at Marquee.

Sometimes the word “tastemaker” gets thrown around. Most of the time it’s bullshit. However, when it comes to a fella like James F!@#$%^ Friedman, it actually makes sense.
Yeah, he’s worked for XLR8R, Vice, The Fader and all that. Sure he helped Trevor Jackson start Output Recordings here in the US in 2003 (LCD Soundsystem, anyone?)… And yeah, he’s been a fixture in New York's underground dance music scene for over a decade now having thrown parties all over the country including the infamous afterparties for Daft Punk’s last tour in 2007 with Ed Banger Records.
But it’s all about this guy’s vision, amirite?! Since starting Throne of Blood Records in the late 00’s with that band called the Rapture, he’s been helping churn out future classics from Bicep to Waze & Odyssey to a fucking Andrew Weatherall remix for Daniel Avery’s 1st ever release. Meanwhile, he even helped start Let’s Play House! as a label, further cementing the fact this guy has his finger on the pulse in dance music.
