  • Nation Presents: "AnArchy" (2nd Installation) An Intimate Evening Of Sonic Destruction Since this summer has passed, its time to celebrate the holidays and the end of the year with one of Chicago's illuminary deckplayers in the company of good friends, sleezy-trippy drinks and amazing music. Burlington Bar is the perfect place for this intimate get-together, and we are happy to announce the following artists participating in this event. Artists: JTC [Nation,Spectral,Minimalrome] JAHILIYYA FIELDS [LIES] Live (Chicago Debut) TRAXX [Nation, Light Sounds Dark,Sequencias] Personal Text 4 the artists: JTC - With 3 LPs and a slew of 12" and collaborative projects, Tadd Mullinix has been leading the way for a new wave of jakbeat, house, acid house, techno and electro under the aliases James T. Cotton and JTC. Recording for Nation, TNT, Spectral, Creme Organization, Udek, Frigio, M>O>S, Minimal Rome, Frigio, Hoya:Hoya, Ansatz, KilleKill, Lux Rec, and Relief, collaborating with D'marc Cantu, Traxx and Todd Osborn and having remixed Orgue Electronique, The Horrors, and Depeche Mode - He has received critical acclaim for his raw productions from influentials like Laurent Garnier, Traxx, Ron Morelli, and Trevor Jackson and his records have been in rotation thanks to respected DJs like Theo Parrish, Sven Väth, Traxx, Carlos Souffront, Ryan Elliot, Ben Sims, Mick Wills, Serge, and DJ Qu. He's been DJing professionally since the mid-90s, meanwhile drawing influences from Ron Hardy to Jeff Mills. JTC has been touring the world and also playing regularly in his hometown, Ann Arbor, blending, seamlessly, unreleased originals, techno, disco, and everything in-between. JAHILLIYYA FIELDS - Jahiliyya Fields is the sole province of Tracy Chatter, who contains authority to deputize others into the fold of the mountain that leads to the fields. Often regarded as a proper name, it is actually a place. Music can be heard coming from there. Wax versions come out on L.I.E.S. records. TRAXX - Traxx is no fan of labels which is why he does not define himself as a DJ or a producer. Rather, he could be said to be an artist of sound, a man who blurs the lines between genres and simply lets himself be taken by what a given melody or rhythm suggests to him, taking pages from a number of influences ranging from early disco, experimental dance, industrial electronica, hip... hop or jazz. That is why the sessions by this Chicago genius are as unpredictable as they are pleasantly surprising, including everything from avant-garde and eclectic sounds to unending old school tracks. This is the spirit behind Nation, the platform he created in 2007 to gather creators (JTC, D'Marc Cantu, Saturn V,Beau Wanzer...) who, like him, push the "jakbeat" sound to places where anything is possible. this is a limited capacity exclusive event. $10 ALL NITE 21+ to enter - drink - dance NO RULES LEFT BEHIND!
