Experience an extraordinary New Year’s Eve with Arrival Agency and Cherchez La Femme on Tuesday, December 31st at the iconic Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
Anyone who has attended our massive multi-room parties at the Waldorf Hotel knows that we create special nights. For us, building an indoor rink for a Twin Peaks-themed ice dance routine, or erecting a 16-storey tall amusement park ride, are par for the course. For New Year’s Eve 2014, we will be taking over the historic Fairmont Hotel Vancouver and we truly feel like we’ve outdone ourselves. This will be the first NYE celebration at Vancouver’s “Castle in the City” in over a decade.
Arrival is the team behind the now legendary Halloween and NYE Parties at the Waldorf Hotel, the Khatsahlano Art and Music Festival, and the reopening of the Fox Theatre on Main Street. Cherchez La Femme is one of the city’s premier DJs and event promoters. Her night Happy Endings Fridays has been one of the city’s most successful weekly events for four years and counting. Joining her onstage New Year’s Eve will be a lineup of exceptional out-of-town guests and the crème of Vancouver’s most exciting talent—all playing and partying across five luxury ballrooms in the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
The entertainment will run from 9pm till 3am and the lineup is expansive and includes music, performance, and art for all tastes…
The Hotel:
Construction of Vancouver’s “Castle in the City” began in 1928. The Great Depression caused delays and it wasn’t finished until 1939, opening its doors just in time to accommodate a royal visit from King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II. Completed in a French Château style that remains iconic to this day, when the hotel opened it was the tallest building in Vancouver, boasting 17 stories and 500 rooms. With its many elegant ballrooms, restaurants, and bars, it quickly became the socialite hub of the city. Over the years it has housed world royalty, the CBC’s Vancouver bureau, politicians (both in favour and disgraced), celebrities (both in favour and disgraced), and a resident ghost affectionately dubbed the Lady in Red.
A landmark of architecture, culture, and luxury in the very heart of downtown, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver has not hosted a New Year’s Eve celebration for the public in over a decade.

New Year's Dinner:
Savour the meal that Errol Flynn, Mark Twain, and Queen Elizabeth all enjoyed. This three course New Year’s dinner is prepared by the Hotel Vancouver’s Chef Cameron Ballendine and his team. Cameron offers menu items to tempt even the most discerning gourmand. Mains include your choice of slow roasted beef strip loin, roasted halibut from the Haida Gwaii, grilled free range chicken, or a vegetarian option that features wild mushroom and quinoa tenderloin. The dinner will feature an intimate performances by the evening’s stars.
