- With the sun shining and some time taken off to recover from Christmas shenanigans, we really want to start 2014 with a bang. Something really special is in order to kick start the new year and we are pleased to say that we have secured the Victoria Star Cruise Ship for one special event! Just imagine cruising the Yarra with your best mates and other musical like-minded people, sipping on some tasty beverages with the Melbourne city and riverfront serving as your backdrop, and a soundtrack provided by none other than one of our favorite DJ’s ever: Danny Howells! Yes, Danny Howells and Balance will be hosted by Darkbeat to launch his brand new Balance compilation. It’s been almost 3 years since Danny toured Australia and the time is right for us to welcome Danny back again. For those that haven’t heard of Danny yet, trust us when we tell you that Danny is a master and a legend of the DJ scene. He has been responsible for some of the scene’s most enduring mixes on labels like Global Underground and Renaissance, and now he has finally been locked in for a long overdue Balance mix. His Dj skills are second to none and his impeccable track selection has ensured that Danny will go down as one of the greats. If there were a Rock n Roll Hall of Fame for Dj’s, then Danny would’ve been inducted into that years ago. This Balance mix will be Danny’s last ever mix comp and we’ve been lucky enough to hear it - and wow, we can confidently say that this might just be his finest work to date (which is a big call considering his past work). He is an artist on top of his game and you can be assured that we will be in VERY capable hands for one extremely special event!
