Sat Feb 01, The South London Soul Train turns 3 and we'll be celebrating in mighty fine style with a 3 room, 3 floor extravaganza that'll blow your mind and force feed your soul with the best of times. A right royal celebratory get down session with a line up to truly dance for.
Level 1 your host Bussey / CLF Head honcho and bad ass DJ Jazzheadchronic continuing his on-going mission to seriously funk you up and as it's our birthday he'll be joined on stage by 2 of his favourite hammond fuelled bands, who'll be dropping it very, very hard! First up the Getup return better, stronger, faster and louder - with the full 9 piece band, followed by fellow Hammond Funkateers The Bongolian. A Musically Armed High Calibre 5 piece band that target and find the musical hot spot - then incinerate it. Needless to say these bands are Hot and will bring it!
Then on Level 2 'The Super Soul Bowl' we got SLST Residents and vinyl hosts with the most - DJs Snowboy and Perry Louis bringing the soul, the funk and the absolute rarest of grooves. Stars on 45 for real.
The 3 floor South London Soul Train 3 year anniversary epic line up completed on level 3 with The Underground Soul Session, hosted by yet more legendary veteran scene creators / DJs - Inspired Soul n' Jazz dance head Patrick Forge [best known for his famous late 80's and early 90's Dingwalls sessions alongside Gilles Peterson] and Brand New Heavies Founder, Drummer and Dj the sublime Jan Kincaid.
All 3 floors taking all passengers on a Soul Tingling, Multi-Level Non-Stop Magical Mystery tour through all things Too Damn Funky. P-Funk to Jazz Funk, Soul Jazz to Rare Groove N’ Stax, Motown to Club Classics and Anthems.
As always, Passengers are requested to check their Souls at the Station as this ones for good time party people only! No Bass Wobbles Here, Only Love, Funk and Souuuuuuuul.
Event runs 10pm to an extra late 6am with Entry at a more than nice £5 Adv or £7 / £10 OTD [With a minimum of 500 Tickets available on the door - However pls get there early as is always a roadblock, but once in it's well worth it :D]
