After an impressive first year 1st February sees Familia throw open the doors to Egg London with a line up that’s arguably one of their most impressive to date.
Mathias Kaden is without doubt one of the most sought after artists on the international circuit. He’s released EPs on labels such as Freude am Tanzen, Vakant, Desolat and remixed for artists such as Matthias Tanzmann, Onur Özer, Dapayk, Anja Schneider, Daniel Stefanik, Trentemöller and Monika Kruse. Known for his outstanding technical ability, a real magician behind the decks, his infectious sound and energy taking the dancefloor on a journey though sound and this we can promise on 1st February when Mathias Kaden performs an extended three hour set.
San Proper is a intrinsic part of the Amsterdam underground club scene. With a run of releases on record labels including Perlon, Dekmantel and Rush Hour over the past fifteen years he has indisputably staked his claim amongst the ever-growing contingent of quality artists from the Netherlands. He’s known and praised for his House & Disco sets, but also skilled in blending different styles from Acid to Afro-beat into an eclectic mix. His passion comes across best with presenting this energy live as well as the vocal extras which he serves up during Dj-sets. Having worked on productions with Ricardo Villalobos and Laurent Garnier editing one of his breakthrough releases San has proved to be a force to be reckoned with now having set up his own Proper’s Cult imprint.
Boris Werner, another leading light from the Netherlands and one of the most talented and wanted DJ's in Amsterdam scene. Boris, well known for his productions on labels such as Get Physical and Soweso has clocked up appearances at places and events like Studio 80, Rex, Voltt, 5 days Off, Tenax, Panoramabar, T/bar, Awakenings, Welcome To The Future, Sonne Mond und Sterne, WMC, Trouw, Sonar, ADE and closing the Lowlands Festival. Boris has appeared for Circoloco at DC-10 Ibiza for over several years in a row, another milestone achievement in his career along with hosting of his very own club night; Late Night Society at club Trouw in Amsterdam where he has invited artists such as Seth Troxler, dOP, Ion Ludwig, Wareika, Tom Trago, Jamie Jones, Visionquest and San Proper, who together with Boris will steer the Terrace floor’s musical direction.
The Loft will be headlined by one of the brightest new stars on the House scene, Anna Wall. Anna’s international break came in 2011 when she was recruited as resident DJ for Croatia’s Yacht Week, playing alongside CR2's Dan Castro and since then, has been booked alongside some of the world’s most respected DJ talents, with the last few years seeing Anna DJ in the impressive company of MK, Robert Owens, Norman Jay, Inland Knights, Soul Clap, Adam Shelton and Jordan Peak. International highlights to Anna’s career so far must include Mixmag’s DJ Lab live stream at their penthouse in Miami alongside techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson and Miami’s own Treasure Fingers as well as playing Watergate, Berlin and a season at Space Ibiza every Tuesday for Future Disco alongside Carl Cox's The Revolution Unites.
Exclusive London Resident, Monique Speciale and Tooroom Records’ Fabio Ferro once again will set the Ground Floor alight as Familia explodes in to 2014 with a party that sets the bar and surely one not to miss.
