The last in January’s Egg Presents series welcomes one legendary remix pairing, and a talent who’s ability to mix styles and sounds has put him at the top of the DJ league.
Having caused a stir with his Homage EP back in 2012, it was the garage-referencing beats that made Shenoda a hothead of the Hypercolour roster. Working with Huxley, a collaborative EP made one of Defected’s records of the year, with both producers being propelled into the heart of the underground scene. Having booked slots at Fabric, Warehouse Project and the Boiler Room, we thought it was about time to let this new talent take the headline slot. As always with Egg, we’re first in pioneering the direction for new artists – booking early, and watching people rise.
DJ duo, Walker & Royce, have long been packing a punch with scorching remixes having first met at a loft party in NYC 10 years ago. Having paired up again in 2011, only after they both discovered they were working together at New York’s house stronghold, Nervous Records, the boys are back, playing a slew of handpicked dates across London over the next few months.
Joining them, we also have Off Recordings regulars, Purple Disco Machine.
