Rio Music Conference 2014

  • Rio Music Conference – The largest gathering of electronic music and entertainment in the Southern Hemisphere - was born in 2009, when the market was fragmented and dispersed, and already moved 3 billion dollars per year. In only three years, RMC unified those fragments and became the Latin Americans’ center of convergence, with an outstanding organization and the accession of the main professionals of the industry. In its second edition, in 2010, partnerships with other companies intensified and in 2011 RMC was consolidated: in addition to expanding the gatherings with 8 Road Shows in different cities in Brazil, it brought together more than 1 million delegates, drew 25 thousand visitors and moved 20 million Reais in businesses in the National Edition in Rio de Janeiro. Today, Rio Music Conference is the sum of 5 Regional Gatherings and 1 National Edition, where the Market Yearbook and the RMC Award are shown. The company is also the curator and producer of great shows and events throughout the year, with the label RMC Official Event. The National Edition provides a democratic atmosphere, ideal for networking between all the productive chains. There are various seminars, debates, panels and workshops during the three days of the conference, followed by seven nights of parties with the greatest names in electronic music in the world. The Regional Gatherings maintain the same system as the National Edition: business during the day and a roster of parties during the night. The promotional and commercial opportunities are the same, although the size and duration varies from place to place. The target is to plunge into the local scenes, face the challenges of each area and absorb its uniqueness to deal with effect the technological, artistic production, marketing and vocational issues of the electronic music and entertainment industries in Latin America. In addition to strengthening bonds with the Ambassadors and defining the priorities of debates and panels for each region for the National Edition, the Regional Gatherings contribute to something new in the conference: the Market Yearbook. It’s a retrospect of the previous year – a register of the most significant developments in technology, market, artistic production and professional training areas. The Market Yearbook also features the outcome of the RMC Award: there are 5 nominees for each category and the Ambassadors elect the “Best of the Year”. The RMC’s Main Edition, from February, 19th to March, 4th: During Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival, the RMC produces an impressive 14 days event in which it gathers the major current issues facing the electronic dance music industry as well future trends to be discussed and it brings: February, 19th >RMC’s Welcome Party: when the RMC Annual is released and the RMC Awards Ceremony takes place From February, 20th to 22th > RMC’s Business Activities & Academic Activities: three days of workshops, panels, conferences, debates, special presentations, showcases and networking areas From February, 21st to 28th > RMC’s Club Week: when several clubs from Rio host parallel events with RMC’s invited DJs and Artists From February, 28th to March, 4th >RMC’s Festival: five days of parties with the world’s main headliners during the very Carnival period The RMC is without question the centre of convergence for the Brazilian and South America markets, both its hub and major gateway, representing a fantastic opportunity, in many different and creative ways, for companies and/or brands to stand out in this booming and exciting market through its exclusive content and activities.
