PLEASUREKRAFT
What is Pleasurekraft… a simultaneously visceral and cerebral experience induced only by the seductive, deep, groove heavy, underground techno inspired music that you hear the kids listening to .. - Common side effects include: unrelenting head bobbing giving way to complete surrender to physical movement commonly referred to as 'dancing'.
Every so often, a group comes along which shakes the entire dance scene from its very roots with a style so unique, and a sound so intoxicating, that it influences scores of imitators, and inspires a new generation of producers. Pleasurekraft is exactly such a group.
The brainchild of Kaveh Soroush and Kalle Ronngardh, Pleasurekraft was born in the summer of 2009. Having had their very first track played by Pete Tong on his Essential Selection, and then doing remixes for Chymera, and John Acquaviva's Definitive imprint, Pleasurekraft became a new name to keep an eye on.
Fast forward to the spring of 2010, and the year's biggest smash hit, Pleasurekraft's "Tarantula" was released. It quickly earned the support of the world's biggest DJs and went on to win not only Top Tech House track at the Beatport awards in Miami in March 2011 - but took the coveted grand prize of Top Track of the Year (ALL Genres).
Being hailed by critics as one of the biggest acts of the last year - Pleasurekraft have continued to dominate dance charts worldwide, receiving huge support from DJs around the globe. The list of artists having topped the charts with the Pleasurekraft touch is growing by the day… Green Velvet, Sneak Sound System, Josh Butler, Format:B, Miles Dyson, Robert Owens, Umek, Cajmere... the list goes on. .
While dance music trends come and go, those who stick to a singular vision and belief in the music they consistently produce are always left standing when the fads have long gone. Pleasurekraft is exactly such a group.
