- Kangding Ray (Stroboscopic Artefacts / Raster-Noton) David Letellier aka Kangding Ray, the French born Berlin based musician has undergone a continuous transformation of his sound since his debut on Raster-Noton in 2006. Led by a rare attention to sound texture and a constant avant-gard attitude, his creations straddle the coldest veins of post-industrial techno and apocalyptic soundscapes with some of the most beautifully brilliant melodic momentums around. His recent releases on Stroboscopic Artefacts continue to blur the borders between experimental and dance music, an artist lying somewhere at the darkest fringe of club culture. Not just a master sound smith, Kangding Ray also delves deep into the fertile ground that can be ploughed when visuals and music combine.
