The Art School presents: Shackleton Live

  • This year begins with an exclusive performance by Shackleton at The Art School, now equipped with sound capabilities to match his startling productions. Shackleton’s reputation as one of electronic music’s most singular artists has been building since establishing the seminal Skull Disco label with Appleblim in 2005. Experimentation has always been at the forefront of what both these artists do, such as Shackleton’s 2010 Fabric mix and the label he founded the same year, Woe To The Septic Heart. New material promised this year will no doubt be just as game-changing. Sharing the bill is his long-term cohort Appleblim, founder of Apple Pips Recordings, who returned last summer with his first solo release since 2007 following a string of collab operations with the likes of Ramadanman and Gatekeeper. Joining them in the Assembly Hall is Beneath, who’s been stamping a darkly potent energy on UK dancefloors for the past 12 months. Curating The Vic Bar is the Glasgow-to-London connection Huntley & Palmers, who’ve been responsible for a string of on-point parties in both cities last year. They’ll be inviting their own Special Guests to the occasion, if their recent roster of guests is anything to go by… pray for that new dancefloor.
