- Los Angeles witnessed a paradigm shift last Fall, when James Zabiela brought his world famous Born Electric Party, to Avalon Hollywood, for the first time. A month later Zabiela did a groundbreaking b2b set with Paul Woolford, for BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix 20th anniversary. Something that is a dream of every aspiring DJ. On February 15th, Avalon Hollywood is proud to welcome back the internationally acclaimed Born Electric and English producer to it’s hallowed decks, with special guest Chris Liebing. Like always, all in attendance will be pushed to the limit with an out-of-this-world musical experience, as the one and only label boss of Born Electric, performs with his unique live setup, including custom made iPad layouts and mappings, multiple controllers in tandem and in harmony, with traditional DJ skills. Hailing from Frankfurt Germany, techno pioneer, DJ, producer and the driving force behind his label CLR, Chris Liebing will make his debut at the historic Hollywood venue. Positioning at #33 in this year’s Resident Advisor Top 100 DJ Poll, Liebing was one of the first techno DJs to completely adopt digitalization of music in a consequent and creative way. For over 10 years, CLR has been his pride and joy, generating releases from many renowned producers like Speedy J, Adam Beyer, Kr!z and Tony Rohr just to name a few. The world is Liebing’s DJ booth, playing virtually everywhere showcasing CLR from ADE to BPM Festival, crashing the decks at Sonar, SEMF Festival in Stuttgart, BPM in Mexico, UK’s Global Gathering, Germany's legendary Timewarp, Movement in Detroit and Sunrise Festival in Belgium, while pumping techno throughout club speakers at Amnesia (Ibiza), Berghain (Berlin), Output (NYC) and The Warehouse Project (UK). The famed Born Electric party previously conceived in London, ventures back to the West Coast encapsulating the heart of techno, while creating a journey through space to fully present the Born Electric Vibe.
