Heading up the bill is Berghain resident and amazing musician Answer Code Request. From the first release on Marcel Dettman's MDR recording we knew we'd heard someone that is capable of delivering the feeling that comes from having the thump of a soundsystem as well as providing the richness and intrigue that the best electronic music can give. He's a top-notch DJ too, one of the stalwarts of the infamous Berghain residents roster, and we are so happy to have him over to play on Corsica's Funktion 1 main room rig.
DJ Stingray is a long-time hero of ours; a DJ and producer who's been on our hit-list for a number of years. He first came to our attention through his association with the legendary Drexciya, though it was our first experience of his DJ skill that piqued our interest. He shows superhuman ability on the turntables, spinning hyper speed Electro and Techno with fierce energy, doing serious arm-flailing and foot-stomping damage on the dance floor. With a breadth and depth of musical knowledge that is rarely matched, Stingray is guaranteed to tear it up.
NYC's Anthony Parasole is a man who has been a guiding light for the US Techno scene. With his long experience in New York's internationally-regarded Halcyon record store and running Deconstruct with Levon Vincent and the deep-underground House'n'Home parties with Bryan Kasenic, he's now one of the US's finest Techno DJs. Anthony's rugged ability in the studio and behind the decks soon brought him to the attention of his European counterparts, and a release on MDR soon followed. A superlative DJ, we're very glad to host a rare appearance by the US tastemaker.
One of our favorite labels of 2013, Berceuse Heroique hasn't put out a single bad record in our opinion. Exquisitely curated by the ineffable ΚΕΜΑΛ, the quality has been so consistent we had to find out more about the label boss and were very happy to find that he's as excellent a DJ as he is a curator. ΚΕΜΑΛ shows imagination and flair like very few DJs do and we're thrilled to host his debut London performance.
In Room 2 we invite back NYC’s legendary night The Bunker for their third appearance at Corsica Studios, who will come fresh from taking over half of Berghain and Panorama Bar on the 1st March. Representing is Tin Man, who we witnessed firsthand lay down his unique brand of acid house at the Bunker in New York last March. Joining him is Italian techno head and forthcoming Bunker Records signee Marco Shuttle and The Bunker founder and most recently Bunker Records label head, Bryan Kasenic, whose accomplished DJ performance was on show for anyone who attended the first Bunker night at Corsica last February.
This is going to be a special night across both rooms; full of upfront sounds and deep atmospheres... tickets are flying so make sure you get yours before they all go.
