The end is sneaking up on us....
As the weeks fly by, we are down to yet a few parties left for the summer. You can feel the September magic in the air, everyone ups the ante, making every moment count. And for this very reason, another mental party is on the cards for Sunday, to make the most of the little time we have left.
The Terrace will be kicking off early with Lo Cura’s mojito man, David Phillips playing a one off terrace set getting things discotastic for the king of Italo edits Serge Santiago. You won’t be able to miss the loveable Danny Howells if he’s in one of his trademark lairy outfits. He kicks off at 10pm dropping his ever infectious brand of ‘deepsexyfuturistictech-funkhouse’. The South London, electro pop boffins, Hot Chip, will be bringing their geek chic to the party. The self confessed nerds love anything slightly left of centre, so expect things to get a little skewed.
As ‘Famous’ as he’s now become, French pop superstar, David Guetta, is taking some time out from his heavy promoting schedule, to join us on the terrace with plans to woo the crowds with his sexy, French, piano driven house. Ladeyz look out!
The discoteca will play host to Chicago’s finest, the disco filter innovator DJ Sneak, remixer extraordinaire Ewan Pearson, and wunderkid James Zabiela, who obviously didn’t get enough last week and is back again for more. The UK’s Deep Grove will be opening the arena a little earlier this week, alongside resident rogues Alex Wolfenden and Jason Bye.
A welcome return to the sunset terrace for Tom Novy who has been absent for the last few weeks. Support comes from Streetlife Djs, our own Jonathan Ulysses and - from Pacha - Andy Baxter!
The Streetlife DJs have been hard at work since their last visit, and have 2 new releases coming out. Their track ‘We Love The Disco’ will be out on Kitsune on 29th October, we’ve craftily snatched a piece of it for you. And ‘Bassline kickin’ will be released on their own label Street Beats.
The Chew The Fat! boys have gone straight to the top this week, Fat!’s own founder and mastermind, Paul Arnold is down to abuse some speakers, along with breakbeat junk connoisseurs and Finger Lickin head honchos, Soul of Man. Also on the bill is Irish promoter Robbie Butler and Jem Haynes.
