Interlude
I look outside to see you
because i always miss many things,
though i can’t be sure what they be
but you promise you’ll be back again
and i say alright – i get in the car
and go fast around the corners,
i have to get there you see
so I can be done and come home,
honking at all the slow burners,
Get out of the way,
i try to keep my composure,
i am always chasing —
you must wonder how,
then i sit back down again and look outside
and desire differently

LEATHER JACKETS, LIKE TECHNO LAST FOREVER
Techno action hero, The Un-Yielder, from Fürstenwalde is coming to fight the good fight. Wearing the Ostgut Tonträger colours, he is relatively unknown as the GDR judo champ — Marcel Dettmann.
Oh, you know him do you? We thought we might have to give you a bit of backstory but lets not.
The album, Dettmann II, was released earlier this year much to the solid rapture of his throng of supporters. The first track released, ‘Seduction’, features the haunting vocals of pure Czech delight Emika, giving us a sparse enlightenment to his hand with delicate samples. Marcel has long advocated for soul within sound, likening bad examples to machinery and the real stuff to sounds of the future. His marathon sets deliver a certain intensity that can only come after mastering a trade. Marcel is essential.
Recently he described his music as something that should be revered or despised — and nothing in between. We think the sounds of Marcel remind us of climbing the highest tree and running really fast. Other times we think of hugging a soft toy in the dark, succumbing to supple, Neapolitan fur.
Don't tell us what you think. We'll see you there.
