Two of the freshest new sounds in funk & soul are set to play at the Queen of Hoxton on the 15th May 2014. Get ready to get down and funky - The Impellers and Soulnaturals are bringing the party!
Brighton based The Impellers return with their 10 piece powerhouse of soul, deep funk, Latin, afrobeat and hip hop on the 15th May 2014 at the Queen of Hoxton. Back with their third album, the band is proud to present “My Certainty”. The band features screaming Hammond organ, true soul vocals, chicken-scratch guitars, huge horns and a intense and energetic rhythm section. The group have performed live on the legendary BBC6 The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show so expect a whole trunk of original funk, plus some funkified reversions of some classic tracks! We cannot wait for what promises to be an impelling performance from The Impellers!
Support comes from UK soul and R&B project Soulnaturals, with their groovin' slab of hip-shakin' dance floor sunkissed soul. The group have also been championed by BBC 6 The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show, and this new incarnation of Soulnaturals will deliver a series of beautiful, beguiling and eclectic soul music to the Queen of Hoxton.
