  • Buckle your belts, polish your dancing shoes, write off Sunday, and join Sorry, No Vacancies for our final, farewell throw-down. It's been a boozy, brilliant three months, now let's go out with a BANG. Featuring the DJ's DJ and founder of Brixton's legendary Rooty parties alongside Basement Jaxx & Tayo, FRANK TOPE, and eclectic vinyl-loving mastermind MR SHIVER spinning tunes all night. Love & Liquor x ................................................................................... When dance music's heavyweights throw their own parties, it's FRANK TOPE they track down to soundtrack. Be it Groove Armada's Lovebox raves, Chemical Brothers' Glint parties, or Basement Jaxx's legendary Rooty nights (which he started with them alongside Tayo), he's covered all the bases when it comes to carving his name in stone. A local Brixtonite and 1/3 of balearic beat remix purveyors Wild Geese, he’s honed his words as a respected music journo, honed his craft across the venue spectrum playing massive meccas like Ibiza’s Space as well as intimate boltholes like Horse Meat Disco, and been part of some of the most groundbreaking parties to come out of the UK. Inspired by heroes including Derrick Carter, Harvey and Theo Parrish, Frank is on a mission to save house music from boredom with a fiercely energetic mixing style, digging deep into an immense record collection to throw in the last thing you'd expect at just the right time, combining heavyweight basslines and Latin percussion with enough of his trademark acapella vocals and dubbed-out sound FX. He’s joined by London's longest 7″-only shindig Size Doesn’t Matter’s resident DJ MR SHIVER, who's been playing out underground parties since the 90s heydey tech-house phenomenon. His policy of picking tunes across the board channels riotous sets that bounce from Funk, Soul and Boogie, to Hip-Hop, to Reggae, and to House, with an obscure classic thrown in now and then for good measure.
