The idea for Drome is a party with an open and friendly atmosphere, easy on the eye visuals and great music. Our launch will be in the darkly dramatic back room of The Imperial Hotel. We have invested time, love and money in our sound system, and thru it, you can expect to hear old and future house and techno, plus some exotic step and electronica.
Spinning on this night and the next and the next will be Murray, Jake Holden and Jon Virtue. 3 boys steeped in the Glasgow club traditions, their combined talents and experience amount up to savvy tune choice and expert party control.
Each month we invite a pal into the club, first up is local bass princess Anomie aka Sofie Loizou. With an LP on the way soon, and praise from The Gaslamp Killer, Flying Lotus, Low End Theory, Teebs, Jeremiah Jae and Theo Parrish, expect a performance infused with beautifully nuanced electronics with forward-thinking dancefloor sensibilities. The word is that bass flows thru her veins.
