Avalon has been a staple in Hollywood for bringing legendary acts through it’s hallowed doors. It all started 10 years ago when Avalon Hollywood opened it's doors with Paul Oakenfold, and progressed with industry leading DJ appearances by Damian Lazarus, Sasha, Matthew Dear and now the famed venue welcomes back one of the most respected aboveground DJs , John Digweed on March 22.
Through out his illustrious career Digweed has showed why he is synonymous with the words quality, ingenuity and integrity, by cultivating the underground techno scene, while curating proper forward-thinking music. A living legend in his own right, his presence is not based on the catchy hooks and having the biggest drops in his sets, Digweed rather prioritises principles of creative integrity - second time used in paragraph and pushing fans to their limits musically.
He started off his career at the young age of 15 and quickly climbed the ranks. After releasing his first proper DJ mix compilation (with Sasha) “Renaissance,” which is to date the quintessential and one of the highly acclaimed mix albums, and projected him to be the first British DJ to hold a residency at the leading NY club, Twilo, and led to remixes from Danny Tenaglia, Underworld and New Order. Moreover, Digweed has played at every major festival and club around the world. For this very reason is why he was named DJ Mag’s #1 DJ.
