After much effort we have thankfully been able to confirm and lock in a smaller spot than usual spot which will run until 6am (just the way we like it)!!
This is a BRAND NEW location for our LATE & DEEP series, so we know a lot of you will be stoked on that. Who doesn't like a good surprise!!?!?
We must respect the owners request that we keep this one serving along regular bar hours but decided it was a better idea to kick off the season with a late night of good music and good people rather then allow february to pass without a single LATE & DEEP event yet this year. Right!?
Given the last minute organization of this event, we had to pass on our originally planned international headliner (we will have them in the spring) in favour of a more readily available (and affordable) local lineup of killers. The cover prices reflect these issues, and we know that everyone is still stoked on a great event with some great music by a number of locals.

GET READY TO RUMBLE, SEE YOU ON THE DANCEFLOOR!!!
The Deep North knows the importance of making moves locally, and therefore we have decided on a headlining set by heat hustler and Mikita Skyy label boss DEMUIR. Demuir is a veteran producer who recently has been getting some of the attention he deserves outside of Canada. His relentless work ethic and skill-laden production has caused this guy to blast into 2014 with a heavy string of releases on some of the finest jackin' house labels out there. Just this week the man reached #1 on Traxsource with one of his Jackin productions which is being played all over the world without doubt. We want to give this guy the spotlight in honour of his hard work and devotion to all things 4x4 and his support of the local community.
This one will be a MMA (Mixed Musical Arts) event spanning from Jacking House to Deep House to Straight up Techno and that is actually something we are quite stoked about.
We welcome a number of L&D debuts on this night as artists we respect but have not had a chance to host yet are called to the decks to represent the local talent this city has to offer. We are excited for the long overdue set by ALVARO GONZALEZ (TDot Veteran). Alvaro will be playing a B2B set with son and tastemaker XAV1, both of which will be spearheading a new Toronto digital label called Punctured Recordings which we are excited about.
We also welcome Deep North resident RhoBot Jones who has developed his DJ skill significantly over the past months and is now ready to show the Dot his deep knowledge of flavourful house & techno alongside Deep North co-founder Maxwell Church. Originally a quiet dude who would never miss one of our events, we reached out and found a deadly DJ in the making - - and soon after extended an invite to join our crew. We are honoured to have him share his music with us on Saturday!
Jeff Breen, who has not played a L&D for quite some time now comes back after a L&D hiatus to remind you all that he still commands that dancefloor every time he hits the decks..... this time it's alongside another long time crew member Paul Beazy aka bones mcleod - - the two make a formidable DJ team as was shown when the pair set the bar high for Sasha Robotti & Mr. Ho last year at the Wreckroom.
Female house music figurehead and late night favourite Karlene Oliver returns with her hefty bag of dance floor weapons to support Demuir's mad Jackin House vibe - - and as one of the cities best DJ's we cannot wait to see what she is packing for this one.
Opening the night is Mikita Skyy homie Hank Moogy, and finally the night will be closed out by Deep North founder Dick Diamonds and his lovely partner Amanda Birdy Tam of the infamous HushLamb crew who largely live in Montreal nowadays. The two will be leaving Toronto for Berlin, as Dick goes on his 2nd European Tour and Birdy gets prepared for her first European Gig in France - - we thought it would be a good time for her to practice in front of a good crowd of Dancers.
