Life's A Beach vs Circuit 12/12

  • EVENT UPDATE // VENUE CHANGE: Unfortunately Unit 7 where we were due to host our Circuit 12 party has been closed down for the next 28 days. The venue has been harshly punished due to an incident that took place last weekend at the nearby Club Red in Limehouse. While it is regrettable that Unit 7 has been closed down the show must go on and we are happy to announce that we will be moving Circuit 12 to the Egg Club in Kings Cross, in what will be an even bigger and more fabulous party than we had originally planned. Full details will be released in due course but I can reveal that our full line up and production will be brought over to join up with Egg's annual beach party, for what will now be a four roomed extravaganza. CIRCUIT 12: Anyone who is a fan of the non-stop parties at clubs like Panorama Bar in Berlin will certainly be excited at the prospect of CIRCUIT 12. Now starting at 10pm on Saturday night and running right through to 2pm on Sunday afternoon, this marathon session will kick off with headline sets from outstanding German artists Matthias Tanzmann and Dirt Crew, and legendary DJ/producer/club owner Mr C. The party, which will now take place at Egg in Kings Cross, is an extension of the weekly Saturday night Circuit party that's been rocking Home Bar in Shoreditch since its launch in March this year. DJs like Afrilounge, King Roc, James Priestley, Giles Smith and Geddes have ensured that Circuit at Home has been awash with wonderful electronic sounds. With a 2am finish at Home every week it acts as a perfect pre-party for the main event, a meeting point for Club Circuit. The Circuit 12 parties are the next step, providing an opportunity to go deeper with the music, and the line up for the first event makes a very strong statement about what to expect. After a series of fine displays for We Love with Vitalik at Space in Ibiza last summer and Circo Loco at The End, Enzo Siragusa has been winning fans week by week back in Shoreditch this year with his impressive performances as the Circuit resident DJ. He has more than held his own alongside the aforementioned guests at Home, and will no doubt raise his game again for Circuit 12. Joining Enzo in the main room for Circuit 12 will be the excellent Moon Harbour head honcho Matthias Tanzmann, whose outstanding sets at parties like Circo Loco in Ibiza have established him as one of the most sought after DJs on the scene; Mr C is another exceptional artist with a great history in Ibiza, particularly with his Superfreq parties, which also resides at his own club The End; dynamic duo James Flavour and Break 3000, better known as Dirt Crew, have equally established themselves internationally as both DJs and producers with some stunning releases on Mood Music and their own Dirt Crew label; Mexican native Hector is a local hero in East London with his sets at clubs like Kubicle and T Bar, and is equally well known for dispensing respected musical opinions from behind the counter at Phonica; and completing the line up in the main room is Craig Torrance, whose star is clearly in the ascendant with critically acclaimed tracks signed to Mood Music and Four:Twenty. While the main room at Circuit 12 will shake to top draw techno, minimal and electronic house music expect a deeper, more classic house vibe in the second room, with very hot producer Shur-I-Kan topping the bill. His releases, particularly on Free-range, have singled him out as one of deep houses leading players in the past few years. Zaki Lais has also been a stalwart of good quality house music in recent years as a member of the Blowin East collective and also with his excellent Muak parties, he’ll be ensuring the sound retains is depth and integrity. At this launch event also watch out for a live set from Ntoumos an experimental electro/jazz outfit. The line up in back room will be completed by Wonky Disko supremo Chrissy Maranello, Lee Brinx of Techno Prisoners, the excellent Seb Zito of Underbelly and the very talented Ben Rau. The clubs location Kings Cross is of course a little off the beaten track for some, especially those used to bar hopping around the Shoreditch triangle. So watch out for the ‘Circuit Rave Bus’ which will be doing hourly shuttle runs to Egg from Shoreditch for the entirety of the event.
