Following their sold-out Studio debut last year, mercurial club purveyors Astral People dive into deeper runnings with two of the greatest shape-shifters to emerge from dance music's transnational capitals – reunited Chicago acid house pioneers Phuture and the London-born heads of the forever-in-flux Night Slugs stable, L-Vis 1990 and Bok Bok.
Emerging from the Windy City with the 12-minute classic Acid Tracks in 1987, Phuture’s slippery bass figures and marathon cuts became the acid house blueprint for jacked-up generations to come. Armed with an untouchable series of 12” Maxis, founding members Spanky and DJ Pierre reunited earlier this year for their first performances in over a decade, taking to the Boiler Room for a defining portrait-of-a-scene journey through their acid house legacy.

Serving a smeared selection of grime-inspired cuts since starting up in a 'janky little squat venue' six years ago, Night Slugs have rinsed through classic South London sounds with a future-facing vision of the underground.
Maintaining a gritty undercurrent since it all began with Kingdom's club-crushing 'That Mystic', L-Vis 1990 and Bok Bok have stretched their synaesthetic signature across artists including Girl Unit, Jam City, Egyptrixx and most recently, Kelela's deep r 'n' b breakthrough, Cut 4 Me.
From club to label to prime selectors for pirate radio bastion Rinse FM, the label dons' glow-in-the-dark take on sound system culture has had a perennial effect on dance floors worldwide.
