Way Back Here with Maxmillion Dunbar, Jon Rust and DJ Set

  • Since the mid 2000's Ari Goldman and Andrew Field-Pickering have applied their mutual love for electronic music in manifold forms. Future Times, their highly regarded label, has consistently found new and established producers in their richest form with noteworthy efforts coming from Makam, Axel Boman, Will Saul and Tim Sweeney. However it’s as a producer in his own right that Field-Pickering has truly excelled. Under the Maxmillion Dunbar moniker he has released some of the most evocative music of the past four years. No one could have imagined the sheer bounty of his output since dropping his outstanding debut album in 2010 via RAMP recordings. In the years since Maxmillion Dunbar or Max D as he is also known has produced volleys of outstanding cuts arriving from all directions including RVNG Intl, L.I.E.S. and the gold standard, Michelin star that comes from working with the exceedingly savage Berceuse Heroique earlier this year. Hailing from Maryland on the east coast of America, its not too often an occasion when Max finds himself in London and given his tastes, abilities and a bank holiday thrown in for good measure, this one has all the ingredients for a rich and flavorsome night of weekend high life. Going until 5am at the Dance Tunnel for this Bank Holiday special, Max is joined by Levels boss and NTS DJ supremo Jon Rust, as well as Niche'N'Bump head-honcho and Wifey cohort DJ Set to add the perfect garnish to an already stirring night of musical enjoyment. Of course, the WBH residents will also be in full effect. Sleeping on this one will almost certainly lead to disappointment.
