At last - summer! The season of outdoor partying is FINALLY upon us. For our summer opening party, and also to celebrate the release of our "krankbrother : Recollective" compilation album, we are throwing an all day and all night affair at one of our favourite venues - Studio 338. This beautiful Ibiza-esque venue reminds us of the terrace at Space back in the good old days. Several levels, palm trees, a cracking sound system, cover in case of rain, and most of all the ability to dance in the sunshine all day and all night.
Keeping the summer spirit alive, we'll have our favourite jerk chicken man cooking up some serious treats, and also a selection of Pimms, cocktails and other summer essentials.
Now to music - we have secured three artists that we've been trying to book for a long time. Long term legend Derrick Carter tops the bill. Mr Carter has been one of the key players to emerge from Chicago in the past 20 years, and is widely held as one of the most important underground house DJs on the circuit. He's one of our favourite DJs. Get ready for a masterclass.
Next up, Martin Buttrich comes to deliver his famous live set. One of the lynchpins of Desolat, he is also a key releaser on labels like Cocoon, Poker Flat and his technical prowess is unrivalled on our scene. His muscular, pounding house sound has never dipped in interest or popularity over the past 10 years, and it's for that reason that his name is never far from the top of the RA Live Acts list.
Finally, Space Dimension Controller joins us. A precociously gifted producer, he's also a serious vinyl only DJ and crate digger, and is the ideal man to get things started.
Copies of our compilation album, released on Defected in late April, will be available at a bargain price of £5 with a ticket through RA (usually £15), so grab one with your ticket on the cheap while you can!
