Together Boston, the metro area’s week-long celebration of Music, Art and Technology, would be proud to welcome Bob Mould to Cambridge for any reason, but Friday May 16th is something quite unique. Bob Mould, formerly of idolized bands like Husker Du and Sugar, has turned to DJing in his hometown of Washington D.C. The rocker was one of the first to come out to the public and therefore his appearance takes on even more weight.
At Midnight, Friday May 16th, legalized gay marriage in Massachusetts turns 10 years old, and DJ Bob Mould is going to throw it a party it won’t soon forget. Known for his sets in Provincetown nightclubs, Mr. Mould specifically requested an appearance at the Sinclair, Harvard Square’s brand new music venue, to celebrate.
Even moreso, Together is reuniting local DJ night Group Hug to open. Group Hug was known as a “bear” DJ night in Central Square up until they retired the moniker last year. Group Hug is the duo of BRDR and Cambridge resident Nate Bluhm.
Together Boston, in partnership with The Bowery Presents: Boston present DJ Bob Mould starts promptly at 10pm at The Sinclair in Harvard Square, Friday May 16th.
Suffice it to say, Together Boston is proud to be a part of this landmark celebration.
