They will be hosting a very special one off warehouse styled event on Friday 25th July in London! Their roadblocked outdoor Dirtybird parties in San Francisco’s scenic Golden Gate Park, have become a legendary summer destination point for both locals and international travelers alike. We are really excited about them migrating north this summer to bring this party to the UK for the very first time! The Party… The Dirtybird party will take place at Unit 7, Cable Studios, on Friday 25th July. Lifting off at 10pm, the main space will be transformed into a nest of unrest with use of a huge sound system, subtle lighting, & production to set the scene for the evening. The head honchos will be performing special extended sets, supported by the latest db hatchling, Tim Green. Expect the unexpected in the chill out area… The party goes through till 6am when we take flight to a near by secret location for the afterparty, joined by a special surprise Dirtybird… There will be limited db presents on the night to give away to the earliest of birds, and we encourage you to don your feathers and allow your imagination to run wild, and dress creatively for reduced entry! The Birds… Claude VonStroke needs little introduction. Back in 2005, Claude launched the Dirtybird label. Inspired after working on a two year DVD project, Intellect (a film about electronic music that features Derrick May, Swayzak, Derrick Carter, Theo Parrish amongst others), he kick started the label with his oddball house and techno single, Deep Throat, a huge hit that year. More hits followed with the massive Who’s Afraid Of Detroit? Single, a track Richie Hawtin (as well as many other international stars) named at his best track of 2006. Further singles, an album, and remix work followed including projects with Indy rock group, The Rapture, and Detroit techno legend, Kevin Saunderson. CVS has headlined almost every major club, festival and basement after-party in the world from Fabric to Panorama Bar to D’Edge club in Brazil. His sets are highly charged and compiled with special ass-wiggling cuts that keep the dance-floor percolating! In an effort to give something back to the community (influenced by an interview he saw with Mad Mike of Underground Resistance,) CVS recently unveiled a deeper techno label called Mothership. A large percentage of the label’s proceeds go to a music school for children in Claude’s hometown of Detroit, Michigan… Justin Martin is one of the few house DJs that successfully bridges the gap between being commercially successful and staying true to the underground. His sound has been described as both melodic and tough, with releases ranging from the dynamic “Cicada” on Dirtybird, to the slamming "Magnificent" remix for Iz and Diz on OM records. Justin first gained international acclaim for his single, The Sad Piano, on Ben Watt's Buzzin' Fly label. The single made its way into many A-List DJ crates as well as receiving many accolades from critics. Over time, Justin developed a more edgy sound in his hometown of San Francisco. He helped develop the local Dirtybird label with his good friend, Claude VonStroke, releasing several amazing singles and remixes... We are really looking forward to having them both in town for this special showcase! They will be joined by the one of the newest DB siblings, Tim Green. Already a firm favourite with the likes of Richie Hawtin, Josh Wink, Carl Cox, Luciano, Laurent Garnier, and Locodice, Tim has made a huge impact with his releases. He has been remixed by Martin Buttrich, Jamie Jones & Konrad Black, and returned the favour to Lee Burridge, Koma & Bones, Luke Dzierzek, Future Loop Foundation and many more. Hi last db release, Revox, cemented himself firmly into the db family, a monster single that found its way into many top jocks playlists... Spread the word, be aware of the birdz.. Please stay posted here for updates as capacity is limited! We hope you can join us for this one, its going to be a very special night! Dirtybird & Wild Music x
