Saturday 19th July sees secretsundaze & friends take over Scala in Kings Cross, straight after hosting their own arena at Lovebox for the 4th year running. In Room 1 we are very happy to welcome back one of our favourite artists, Cassy, whose music both as a dj and producer is infused with soul, warmth and hypnotism - just check out "Idle Blues", her 2nd release on her own imprint 'Cassy', soon to be included on secretsundaze volume 2. Next up, making her secretsundaze debut, is Lakuti. The Uzuri label boss and co-founder of Sud parties, is renowned not only for her excellent taste in deep house and techno, but for discovering and nurturing some of the most exciting underground talent around. Last up in Room 1, we will be joined by a very special surprise guest, say no more!
For Room 2 we have a special treat lined up for you in the form of a showcase from one of the most forward thinking labels in House and Techno, the suitably named Musique Risquee. This label has been responsible for some excellent releases from the likes of The Mole, label co-owner Akufen and our guests tonight, hot live duo Chic Miniature. Comprised of Guillaume Cotu Dumont and Ernesto Ferreyra, their music is quirky and has a strong dose of funk with a modern twist. We also look forward to checking out dj sets from Ernesto and label boss Vincent Lemieux.
East-end DJs du jour Loose will be hosting Room 3, pulling out all of the stops to rustle up a musical menu hot enough to fuel the fickle fires of the most discerning disco-heads. Joined by yet another very special surprise guest, expect all manner of electronic disco finery and quality low-slung grooves.
Lovebox is always one of the highlights of the secretsundaze season and secretsundaze & friends provides the perfect opportunity to extend the party! See you on the dancefloor.
