PollerWiesen Festival
The 3rd PollerWiesen Festival is going to blow away the German and Benelux party community this Pentecost Sunday. A massive all-star selection of international techno and house acts will be spinning their sets on four different stages in the marvelous surroundings of Revierpark Wischlingen near Dortmund. The booking department of PollerWiesen had to dig deep into its toolbox to make sure that the 8th of June will be a highlight of this year's Festival Season.
On the Main Stage, the Chilean megastars Luciano and Ricardo Villalobos will outshine each other with their musical brilliance. There will be nothing but tears of joy when the two BFFs finally meet again. Their exhilarating and percussive open air sounds will put killer ants into every techno lover's pants. The two will rock shoulder to shoulder with Ernesto Ferreyra who combines various musical influences he picked up throughout his life's journey from Argentina, to Mexico on way up to Canada. His sets cunningly combine Latin Groove with Northern Minimalism.
The South-American techno posse holding down the main stage will be supported by none other than Innervision's hero, Henrik Schwarz. After three long years, he will finally return to PollerWiesen to wreak havoc on the crowd with his unstoppable live sets. Also on the scene, Ante Perry, who won't be playing it safe but still bring it home this year. Perry grew up in the Ruhr area, so this will be a "home game" for him.
The breathtaking Hilltop Stage, located on the most elevated point of the park, is the perfect spot to put the crown jewels of contemporary club culture in the limelight. And what is the first thing that comes to mind when we hear club culture? Berghain, of course! The international top location has sent-off its residents Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock and Ryan Elliot to take us to new heights. Nuff said about the crème de la crème from Berlin. Let's rather save our energy for the dancefloor.
They say you have to finish what you start! This means, if there's Berlin, there has to be Frankfurt as well: Gregor Tresher will bring you the sound of Mainhattan! Prepare for melodic tunes with a lot of heart. It will be interesting to see how that works out in combination with the killer sound delivered by Juliet Sikora who will be playing for PollerWiesen for the first time this year.
The Dutch PollerWiesen partner VOLTT from Amsterdam will turn the idyllic Revierpark Beach Stage into little Amsterdam. VOLTT manager, Bart Kils, is sending PollerWiesen's bestie, the techno icon Madga as their headliner as well as Paul Ritch LIVE to roll out the red sound carpet for Magda with his unbeatable emotional harmonies.
The Dutch delegation's secret weapon is the creative wild child DJ Malbetrieb from the Paradigm-Club in Groningen. Also on their team, Bella Sarris from Sydney who will be at the Beach Stage for two hours putting the right amount of Ibiza beach flavor in your ear.
And last but not least, the rookies will get their time to shine at the Hidden Stage. PollerWiesen presents the best seven out of 600 newcomer DJs who have won the PollerWiesen Newcomer Contest. Don't miss out on the rising stars of tomorrow.
No doubt: The line-up is dope! It's so dope in fact that some guests may wet their pant - from shuffling all day on the dancefloor. Dance baby, dance!
