Multi-faceted crowd control, sound engineering and creative party promotion are what make him more than a Detroit DJ. 20 plus years of DJ'ing clubs and parties 24x7, 365 makes him one of Detroit’s best. Influenced by Detroit’s legendary pool of musicians he entered production studios at the early age of eleven. He began remixing records in 1986 with the group NASA. Through the years Wilhite has established a bond with fellow musicians Marcellus Pittman, Kenny Dixon Jr and Theo Parrish…now known as Three Chairs. During the early 90’s Rick soon became one of the most sought after music professionals in the industry. JENNIFER XERRI (Soiree Records, Detroit) is a true messenger of Detroit’s deep house sound. Impeccable mixing skills allow her to drop the headphones and create long masterful blends, transforming tracks into something uniquely her own. Jennifer's education began in the early nineties, experiencing this time was magical and profoundly influenced her style. Once she discovered the Dance Room in Record Time, she spent countless hours digging. It wasn't long before her labor of love evolved into an amazing record collection and her Dj career was born. To this day Xerri still prefers to play strictly vinyl sets. With passion and relentless spirit, Xerri’s sixteen year journey as a DJ has led her to become a solid presence among the Detroit elite. She has played the Movement Festival several times and has spun with some of the D's most talented and respected artists: Theo Parrish, Kenny Dixon Jr., Rick Wilhite, Kyle Hall and Mike Huckaby (just to name a few.) Jennifer’s discerning musical taste and fantastic mixing skills have won her fans the world over. Having an uncompromising level of commitment, she is dedicated to pushing the envelope to bring about a unique experience that sets her apart from the rest. With an uncanny ear she allows the music to speak for itself, while adding appeal and sophistication with her intuitive sense to create a deep journey from a Detroit perspective. Dj Taz (Gruv Detroit) W/ Resident DJ's Cordell Johnson: "I play dance music.." Cordell Johnson is considered to be one of the smoothest, most knowledgeable djs in Chicago. He has been spinning records since 1981, listening to and learning from the city's pioneers, like Farley "Funkin" Keith, Frankie Knuckles and Ron Hardy.. They proved inspirational enough to send him on this nonstop journey in pursuit of his passion for playing music & now creating. Hearing Cordell is believing. www.excursionschicago.com James Vincent "I am merely the vessel...love is the message & music is the key." www.excursionschicago.com Host: Kafani Ibrahim Hassan Cisse (Hardcore, Detroit) Live Illustrations: Kathleen James
