Press Play is back and we are very glad to be showcasing Bristol based APEXAPE for their very first Brighton Show. An evening of House, Bass Garage and DnB (in that order) with support from local Brighton talent. Fono, Caliburst, Tom Webb, Primitive People, Conman, BBP to take you all the way through till sunrise at Brighton Arts Club fun and eccentric venue in the back streets of Brighton.
APEXAPE is on the rise, the production and performance combination of Benny Kane & Dr Specs has seen their upfront torrid turntable terrorism devastating dancefloors worldwide and earning them the title ”Most Exciting AV Act In Dance Music Right Now” (DJ MAG) mixing House, Bass & Garage. Their unique underground industrial sounds, recent collaborations with Chris Lorenzo, 2014 it is most certainly looking to be the biggest year yet for this Bristol based duo.
2013 has been a stand out year for APEXAPE with their production and record label gaining support from the likes of Radio 1′s Annie Mac, Skream, Toddla T, B.Traits, & Mistajam, and holding the No1 position on the Juno UK Garage Chart & Bass Chart and Beatport Electronica Chart with the 'FX EP' and 'Sewer Skank EP'. Supporting performances have followed, alongside the likes of Labrinth, Chase & Status, Disclosure, Eats Everything, Rudimental, James Zabiela, Sub Focus, and Shy FX to name a few.
