The dynamic industry professionals that developed the hypothesis, programming the experiences and experiments for Chicago based Electro Static Productions are in perpetual motion. Electro Static will use dance floors as their laboratory. Having witnessed the undeniable coherent bond forged between DJ and clubber, creating spontaneous energy much like what is needed in order for a new star to form or a bolt of lightning to strike, they are currently seeking test subjects to prove the preceding observation. Launched at the start of May 2014, Electro Static Productions will be conducting weekly Case Studies to monitor the silent, yet intense occurrence and interaction that result from our tests; where subjects are presented with a powerful variable in the form of sound, each different from the last, though similar in sonic capabilities.
François K is a living legend and expert at his craft. His DJ career spans 4 decades, a true icon who can boast residency at Studio 54, Paradise Garage, Cielo, and the acclaimed Body and Soul Parties. In addition to his worldwide festival and club draw, Kevorkian is an anomaly as he maintains three different fan bases which span the decades. All the while the iconic artist's career and CONTINUING commitment to musical and technical innovation and development unequivocally reveal his fastidiousness. Look no further than remix artist and DJ, François K. His career started during the disco drenched late 1970’s in NYC, playing his own edits at the storied Paradise Garage, which can be considered the groundwork for what was to become modern day House. After hanging up his headphones for studio work, it wasn’t long before he was back behind the decks, but inclusion on the bill at Sonar in 2002 marked a departure from his signature sound for the edgier, techno-infused flavor, one which exposed his previous fans to a different side of electronic music and introduced him to a new crop of eager ears courtesy of a global tour with Derrick May under the name Cosmic Twins. For the past decade, of Monday nights in NYC, François has lead the charge for dub in the city with his world renowned residency Deep Space.
