On June 28th Tempo Clash return, this time on an intimate 150 capacity Roof in Dalston in time for summer. We’ve curated a full day of music, food and live art on top of a roof overlooking East London. Headlining is KUTMAH - he started IZWID records last year, it has already spawned the success of Esgar and Seven Davis Jr. June 28th features the label boss and curator alongside the labels very own Al Dobson Jr., as well as a live performance from the extremely talented Reginald Omas Mamode IV, 17 year old producer Iglooghost and more.
KUTMAH, one of the best DJ’s and selector’s period, it’s been a little while since he stepped through to Tempo Clash, we’re excited to have him back. Expect his set to start as the sun goes down – guaranteed to go off. Al Dobson Jr. is next in line on IZWID Records – set to release ‘Sounds From The Village Vol 1′ this month (followed by an album on Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section imprint). He’s a producer who experiments and borders between african rhythms, soul, jazz and electronic – perfect music for a roof top. Reginald Omas Mamode IV is also set to perform live – he’s one to watch for sure. Already picked up on and supported heavily by Gilles Peterson (invited to play The House of St Barnabas Culture Series and shortlisted for Track Of The Year at The Worldwide awards) he’s set for great things. Dashed with elements of funk, jazz, neo-soul and hip hop – it’s his voice that sets things apart.
Other guests include 17 year old beat-maker Iglooghost, he’s emerging as another real talent; check for his latest cassette release on Error Broadcast plus a remix with Wiley (video directed by RUFF MERCY). We also invite Touchy Subject, he’s released on Numbers previously but it was his latest release “Travelin” out on Low Rise Recordings that caught our eye – his forthcoming material is worth looking out for.
