- Anyone who saw Robag Wruhme at output earlier this year, will attest that this party is likely to be as special: the Kompakt and Pampa producer makes not only an intriguing brand of organic house and found sound techno, but so too is he a dexterous DJ that weaves everything from techno to minimal to funk to deep house together into the sort of rare sets most travelling DJs couldn’t even dream of stitching together, honestly he needs no introduction to New York. Consistently amazing us with his sets, he knows how to rock the party The second headliner is no slouch either. Scott Monteith, best known by his Deadbeat moniker, keeps a frenetic pace. Hailing from Kitchener, Ontario, he spent a few years sharpening his focus in Montreal before taking up residence in Berlin. Since the early aughts, he has produced countless EPs as well as seven studio albums for standout labels such as ~Scape, Echocord and Wagon Repair. His two latest projects, Drawn & Quartered (2011) and Eight (2012), arrived on BLKRTZ, an imprint he founded and which is distributed by German giant, Kompakt. Eight, his latest, is a snaillike sonic excursion, where sounds are subjected to intense internal mutations and metamorphoses.
