Blkmarket is back on December 5th at a new venue in Brooklyn. Located in the heart of Greenpoint on 98 Meserole Avenue, the former club Europa is now turned into Good Room.
Good Room is the perfect mid size venue and reminded us of a room somewhat like a a mix between Panorama Bar in Berlin and Smart Bar in Chicago. With its metal and wood finishings plus dark lighting, the cozy confines of this venue make it the perfect setting for this event.
On this journey, we bring you one of our good friends and legend Mr.C from Superfreq. Recently locating to Los Angeles, Mr.C is a man of fine taste and a proper music selector. The International DJ, innovative producer, founder of Plink Plonk, Shamen frontman, a former Sycophant Slag with Francis Harris, and co owner of the former legendary club The End, Mr. C emerged as a pioneering force in the house music scene in 1987 and has continued to be instrumental in the proliferation of dance music on a global scale. A true gentleman, Mr.C is one of a kind and has he never let his ego get in the way of his career.
Oshana is a name that you will be hearing quite often from now and it is because she is has been cranking out some excellent music like it is nobody's business. She is firm band member on Anthea's Brouqade label and just recently Raresh licensed one of her tracks for his latest Fabric mix compilation. If you remember our party this summer with Masomenos and Oshana, she had the rooftop going mental before Masomenos got on. What was New York's best kept secret is now out in the open. Oshana is an act to see in our eyes and we are very excited that she is preparing a special 2 hour live PA for us.
Last but not least is Zak Moon on warm up duties. One of the new comers in the scene and part of the Sum Label crew, Zak will be setting the tone for the evening. He's one to watch for sure.
Blkmarket is taking part in the 26th Annual New York Cares Coat Drive in NYC this year. Join the effort this giving season, helping New Yorkers in need keep warm by donating a used or new coat to New York Cares at our event. Easy drop off at coat check at the party, coats will be delivered to New York Cares, immediately after the event.
