Theo Parrish and his four-piece band, Teddy’s Get Down announce the fourth and final show of their UK tour at the historic Glasgow School of Art.
After selling out his forthcoming Barbican show in under a week, the Detroit musician and producer has handpicked a further three UK shows for his live tour this summer - Glasgow, Manchester and one more in London.
As a DJ, be it on his own or as part of the 3 Chairs alongside Moodymann, Rick Wilhite and Marcellus Pittmann, the Motor City innovator’s unmistakable touch has led him to become one of the most sought after selectors in the world. Despite being a regular feature in the cities thriving club scene, the Glasgow show will be the very first time Parrish has performed live in Scotland.
Presented by 86 Productions & La Cheetah Club the full band will feature; Parrish on beats and keys, Detroit soul singer, songwriter and producer Amp Fiddler on more keys, Akwasi Mensah on bass, Dumminie DePorres on electric guitar and Myele Manzanza on drums. A final dimension to the show comes from a Motor City footwork dance crew who will support the five-piece band while they seamlessly re-visit Sound Signature classics, old and new.
