For what is already the 4th edition of our annual Summer Break, again we’re bringing together some of the finest talents in club music from around the world. Join us for a 18 hour long jam at About Blank on three floors including the fully renewed and extended garden floor!
Headlining the night will be our friend San Soda, the ever so busy Belgian wonderboy who’s been a part of the Summer Break tradition in the past three years. We´re looking forward to have him back on board for another round - only two more stamps on his frequent member card and he gets a free drink.
We didn’t have to look further than a Kurzstrecke Taxi radi for our co-headliner since the magnificent Soundhack is a regular at @Panoramabar / Berghain. For the occasion, he’ll bring a special techno set on the MDF floor.
Just a little bit further South is where we found our next guests. All the way from Melbourne, OZ comes the charismatic duo Otologic, true ambassadors of good vibes and down-under relaxedness. Well known from their institutional Animals Dancing nights, possibly the best club events South of the equator, they’re taking a break from Aussie winter to spread some love on the dancefloor.
While other kids were busy wasting their youth online, rapping or starting just another teenage rock band, Jesse, Jules and Magnus bought vintage gear and started creating music that sounds like it was made in Detroit some 20 years ago. What started as a schoolyard club act quickly turned into a local phenomenon and led them to host their own club nights, aged only 18. Now the three represent the “new sound of Cologne” and as residents of the monthly Cologne Sessions in Cologne and Berlin, they’re back at Blank for an exclusive live plus an extended DJ set.
Spearheading the Belgian invasion is former Brussels based DJ Gratts, a talented DJ, promoter and part time pro soccer player. We´re happy to have him on board with the ever so lovely ensemble crew, celebrating the second release on the label, aptly titled ‘Ended Up At The Ambassade EP’.
Also from downunder but living in Berlin for the last few years is Melbourne based Tom Lally. Together with Gratts he is the man behind the Beyond The Clouds nights bringing the best in deeper house, disco and techno sounds, with former guests by the likes of Darshan Jesrani, Hunee and Mike Huckaby.
Originally coming from a little village at the coast, Jensen grew up with a severe passion for hip-hop. Absorbing the burgeoning sounds of American rap he relocated to Ghent, where his obsession for music moved to four to the floor sounds. Soon, Jensen took up a residency at Decadance, Ghent's most notorious underground venue, establishing his position as one of the fastest rising youngsters in the Belgian house scene.
Last not but least , Johann Fanger, host of the Gentle People Club Series and creator of the first Summer Break Party 4 years will take a break from his latest ventures in classical music and return to the club world with the premier of his new live set.
