Melbourne's Thick as Thieves celebrates 5 years of quality tours and events!
Thick as Thieves was born 5 years ago (in a corner of Irish Mike’s bedroom) as a boutique touring & promotions agency with a difference: an agency that has built its reputation on forming solid relationships with those in the industry. From DJ’s to punters and everyone in between they look after their people and in return have continued to gain loyalty year on year. “It’s a win/ win for everyone” says Director Mike Toner, “Happy DJ’s = Awesome Parties = Happy Fans + Repeat.”
In 2009, Thick as Thieves toured 9 international acts and although still finding their way, it was a successful first year for them. Fast-forward to 2014, where they are now one of the busiest and most recognised touring agencies and promoters in both Melbourne and Australia. In year 5, they have toured over 50 international acts and promoted over 20 shows with their various partners for brands like “Summer Series” and “Tomorrow Never Comes”, as well as hosting a number of their own shows in Melbourne.
Monkey Safari were one of the 9 acts they toured in their first year, and they are proud to have represented them exclusively in Australia since their very first tour back 5 years ago. “Watching Monkey Safari’s international profile explode has made us almost as proud as having them confirm they will play at our 5th birthday party to celebrate 5 amazing years for both us and them” says Mike. “We will be joined by our good friends and comrades from interstate; the infamous SASH crew from Sydney, and Perth’s legendary “DJ Flex”, as well as the Thick As Thieves agency crew and of course, the Revolver Sunday DJ’s.”

Thick as Thieves continue to support the amazing work that the Fred Hollows Foundation do in order to eliminate unnecessary blindness in countries not fortunate enough to have the medical facilities that we have here in Australia. In the spirit of this support, Thick as Thieves will donate $5 from every paying customer on the night to the Fred Hollows Foundation.
