  • KIASMOS- 'Ólafur and Janus will celebrate their debut album with a special release show including live visuals in London.' Kiasmos is made up of Icelandic BAFTA-winning composer Ólafur Arnalds, known for his unique blend of minimal piano and string compositions with electronic sounds, and Janus Rasmussen from the Faroe Islands, known as the mastermind of the electro-pop outfit Bloodgroup. By focusing solely on their self-titled debut album, Ólafur and Janus have been able to combine and further develop their unique sound aesthetics to complete an album driven by their mutual love for electronic music. Ólafur and Janus will celebrate their new debut album with a special release party with visuals in London. 'Full of melancholy-frosted electronics and emotive swells of classical piano, the new single from Nordic duo Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen is a delicate, icy slowburn - much like the project itself.' – NME 'Atmospheric synths swell victoriously' – XLR8R RIVAL CONSOLES- London-based electronic producer Rival Consoles often composes early ideas on piano, violin and guitar, although the end result is much more electronic-laden. Loosely based around his new EP releases “Sonne” and “Odyssey”, he live will explore atmosphere, space and the power of colour with his analogue setup of the Moog, Prophet, tape delay and visuals. DAUWD- Early releases gained support from some of music’s most important names. Benji B, Gilles Peterson, and Jamie XX were early champions, Ikopol was released as part of Adult Swim’s {UNCLASSIFIED} compilation alongside tracks from Burial, Kode9 and Untold. Having toured extensively as a DJ, headlining club shows all around the UK and Europe, Dauwd has also won over the likes of Nick Höppner (OstGut Ton) and Kompakt label boss Michael Mayer who included Ikopol on his mix for Faze Magazine. New productions move away from the UK sound, drawing on house and techno and expressing a long-standing love of these genres. Clearly the dance floor has permeated into the studio. Dauwd creates music with complexity most contemporary producers shy away from. Found sounds are thickly laden over multi-timbred synths. Vocal and instrumental stabs punctuate organic and evolving passages guided always by driving percussion and immaculate low-end production. His productions are full and intricate with a wealth of sounds building warm atmospheres that are unusual within dance music. Having worked with Ableton, Dauwd has developed a unique live show working with their new Push controller and live instrumentation.6 year old Dauwd was raised in Wales playing piano, guitar and drums whilst experimenting with LUKA- Q MAGAZINE: New kid on the electronic block, Luka, hasn’t even released his debut EP yet, nevertheless his wildly popular Inside The Nest tumblr page has already inveigled 150,000 followers. The 23-year-old producer looks set to win over yet more devotees with his forthcoming EP The Nest, out 14 July, a soulful first taste of which can be sampled via Quiet Eyes, featuring Belgian singer-songwriter Love Like Birds, which smacks of a chirpier James Blake.
