SYDNEY EARTHDANCE RETURNS FOR 2008
One of Australia’s most anticipated annual cultural events, Sydney Earthdance, returns on Saturday 13 September at the new location of Prince Alfred Park, Surry Hills.
Leading the way among the many Earthdance festivals held simultaneously worldwide to coincide with UN World Peace Day, Sydney Earthdance will showcase what makes our city such an exciting artistic, cultural and musical hub with entertainment for all factions of our community.
Earthdance is a not-for-profit community based event that supports humanitarian causes through the global languages of art, music and dance. It is held in over 220 cities around the world, and last year over 40,000 people attended the festival in Sydney alone.
The music lineup for this year’s event remains as strong as ever, with a host of leading bands and DJs, including Fretless, Theatre of Disco, The Versionaries, Deepchild, Mark Pritchard & Steve Spacek (UK), Majik Johnson (UK, Underwater), S.Y.L.K. and Deep As Funk DJs all representing a range of different genres over several stages.
Entry with gold coin donation.
Remember to get there early as Prince Alfred Park is limited capacity. This year’s event will be supporting AIME, an indigenous youth support corporation and charity organisation.
Earthdance is made possible by the City Of Sydney Council and Deep As Funk.
