Sat Aug 16 - The South London Soul Train continues it's twice monthly mission to funk up your mind and body + force feed yoh soul with the best of times. A summertime special where we gonna turn up the heat and Bar-B-Q yoh asses over 3 floors of bonafide white hot summer coals of solid soul music. [In all it’s forms]
Level 1 your host with the absolute most CLF / Bussey Head honcho Jazzheadchronic leading the charge with a blistering 7 hr set of eclectic anthemic uplifting funk, soul and disco that'll seriously set your soul on fire. Long time :D
Then on level 2 the men with a plan and a staggering record collection - legendary DJ’s Mssrs Snowboy and Dean Rudland drop 45s like rain for days on yens. Only the rarest of the rare and the funkiest of the funk - delivered large, loud and very direct to the dance floor.
The South London Soul Train Summertime Special line up completed in the basement by too hot SLST residents - Mukatsuku records Founder, the outstanding Nik Weston and walking encyclopedia of black music, the Mighty Si Cheeba.
All floors taking all passengers on a Non-Stop Magical Mystery Tour through all things Too Damn Funky. P-Funk to Jazz Funk, Soul Jazz to Rare Groove N’ Stax, Motown to Club Classics and Anthems.
