Phat Chex aka‘Ben Pooley’ is part of the NONOM (No Nonsense Music Crew) hailing from the South West of England in Plymouth and comes from a background in Hip hop, Turntablism, House, Techno, Electro, IDM and Bass music. He will be playing an eclectic set at Community Interest Company and Community Arts Hub, Bread and Roses.
Phat Chex has been DJing since 1993 and started out his career spinning Hip hop. His love of breaks and house music saw him moving into the electronic music scene. Playing for some years at a successful Electro night in Plymouth namely UFO. Along the way, ably supporting DJ’s and acts such as Afrika Bambaataa, Schoolly D, Scape One, Transparent Sound, Dave Tipper, LA Synthesis to name a few.
