Sweatbox is pleased to present the return of Martino Marini, aka Mass Prod of Florence, Italy. This guy first came on our radar a couple of years ago when we caught him DJing alongside Rufus as The Nightdrivers at the Circo Loco party in Detroit during Movement weekend. We watched these guys tear up the party for several hours with a jackin', analogue meets future techno sound that captivated us from beginning to end. We jumped at the opportunity to book him for Yagottawantit… More! during Decibel Festival last year and were not disappointed. As a Circo Loco resident Marini maintains a busy touring schedule playing some of the most prestigious venues in the industry like Panorama, Watergate, Rex Club, Tenax, DC10, and still manages to crank out an impressive amount of music. Whether it’s driving house cuts under his Mass Prod moniker, his techno-centric works with Rufus as The Nightdrivers, or his cerebral and boundary pushing experimental project with his electronic group Tru West, Marini is a veteran DJ/producer with serious range who always brings the party and we can’t wait to see what he does at Kremwerk.
Opening up is our good friend Albert. He came up on the Chicago scene and is one helluva DJ, it’s been entirely way too long since he’s played for us and we’re stoked to have him on opening duty.
