Secretsundaze

  • For what is always one of the biggest weekends of summer - the August bank holiday, secretsundaze bring you a special one off event befitting of such a occasion. Having always prided ourselves on searching for new, unique and fresh locations we are excited to announce details of a new site. This will be the first time in many years we have had the opportunity to do our own event on this Sunday having previously always hosted an arena at TDK Cross Central. Indeed this new location, The Arches Open Air Carpark in Southwark street has a lot of similarities with our site at TDK with its inner city, sprawling, urban backdrop. Just 5 minutes from London Bridge station the site will be transformed with our usual close attention to detail and high production values with outdoor bars and all amenities. On this special occasion we have a mouth-watering line up with a distinctly Detroit flavour. Headlining will be none other than Mr Carl Craig. It is no exaggeration to say that Carl is the most significant and consistent producer in underground House and Techno today, approaching his tracks with inspiration from a wide range of musical palette's, including jazz, funk and soul. This will be his third appearance at secretsundaze so its great to have him back. Next up, making his secretsundaze debut, we have another Detroit artist who has come to our attention of late: Keith Worthy (Aesthetic Audio). Keith alongside his friend Patrice Scott are making the deepest, purest House and Techno we have heard for some time so we are very excited to get him on board. With his recent UK debut at Fabric receiving a whole host of rave reviews we are dying to hear him at secretsundaze. Inside The Arches we have a Disco and Electro funk extravaganza! First up, Richard Sen, head of label ‘Mixed Blood’ and one half Padded Cell and Bronx Dogs. Renowned for his wide musical eclecticism and technical brilliance, Richard is a man of various talents with scores of incredible remixes and releases to his name. Also making his secretsundaze debut is Phoreski. Thanks to a torrent of blistering edits on Pete Herbert’s Special Interest’ label and his masterful remixes on ‘Is it Balearic?’ and ‘Fat Fuk,’ this talented young producer has been rapidly catching the eyes and ears of industry tastemakers the world over. Joined by east-end DJs du jour Loose, expect all manner of electronic disco finery. This has all the ingredients to be another unforgettable secretsundaze party with a truly stunning new location and a scintillating line up. With more space than usual there is increased capacity, however it’s still advisable to buy tickets in advance and avoiding the scrum. What's more we have a very special after party lined up with none other than Frankfurt finest Dorian Paic (Raum) and Federico Molinari from the excellent Oslo records. Don't sleep on this one.
