- Do you remember the bRUNA effect of 2009? He was almost unknown and his IDM shoegazer album had a limited impact in the stylish discos. But you often met people who said they loved it, that it was one of their favourite electronica discs or that they couldn’t live without it, and it ended up gatecrashing the top places in many lists of the year’s favourites. An emotional and irredeemably romantic work in the tradition of Boards and the nicer side of Aphex, it might be a good travelling companion of Ulrich Schnauss or Undo. In 2013, “Thence”, a more rhythmic LP (more Caribou or Lasers) was also considered one of the best of the year and showed he was not interested in repeating himself. In 2014 he has won the right to present himself wherever he likes as one of the most interesting, on-form music makers there is.
