After a few months in the northern sun we're back with our biggest line-up yet; a veritable intergalactic three-way featuring one of our nightlife idols alongside two new musical heroes for hours of pan-galactic bliss!
lé Club is getting cosmic thanks to the first-time arrival of legendary Italian DJ pioneer Beppe Loda. Over a career spanning 41 years, Master Loda has mesmerised crowds with his unique “afro/cosmic” style; expect a mix of funky synths, new wave, and Afrobeat when he lands in Perth.
Joining Loda on his intergalactic mission is star recruit Samo DJ, one-half of DJ/production duo Sling & Samo and co-founder of their tastemaker label Born Free. Direct from planet Hong Kong, where he hosts parties as part of eclectic collective Otaku Soundsystem, recent transmissions suggest Samo will push things into the stratosphere with his sonic excursions through jungly house, acidic jazz and oriental techno.
Completing the trio is the the droid with the platinum ears and head humanoid behind Sydney radio show Noise in My Head, Michael Kucyk. Hand-picking artists for exclusive mixes on his show, Kucyk is the ultimate beat explorer.
Connections Nightclub’s recently-opened lounge bar will play host to the selections of local lifeforms Maria Mendes, Will Slade, Craig Hollywood and Leighton Head. Meanwhile, avant-drag adventurers Gendermess will debut a brand new performance on the night and the futuristic glitch-art of Melbourne-based video artist Savannah Scarlett will once again provide a mesmerising backdrop for our epic space opera.
