Servidor almost misses the minimalist era, when everything was much clearer, or the uncomplicated life of EDM fans, who have everything processed for them. But that’s impossible: the freaks are in charge and, as a result, individuals like Timothy J Fairplay are in the driving seat. A friend of Andrew Weatherall, another master of doing things the opposite way round to others, with whom he put out a freaktronica LP last year, our guest has had various EPs of his own on ultraunderground labels and loves analogue gizmos. Today he will deploy his full arsenal of techno, house, acid and electro bastard, with cosmic tendencies. What we notice most is the capacity of freaks like him to turn dancefloors upside down. What a weird world!
