From the green lands of northern Catalonia comes Ignasi d’Egara, previously known as Weedj. Well, in fact he’s from Terrassa, the old city of Egara, which is not that green or really northern, but, from there, he has extended his influence northwards, becoming resident DJ at Le Rachdingue, the surrealist disco at Vilajuïga. There he has become an all-terrain DJ based on sharing the booth with the best from all over the world and all imaginable styles. And, following the cross-Pyrenean tradition of the club, regularly visited by people from the south of France, at the beginning of the year he started the Sugar Sound Factory, a record label/DJ collective, with a partner from the neighbouring country. In short, he’s an inquiring, resourceful, vinyl fan who is not held back by borders or municipal boundaries.
